Escuela Mexicana is proud to announce the beginning of our
“Learn Spanish – Help Our People” program. On Monday, November 28 th , we will start a support/volunteer work program, helping an orphanage in Salamanca , about 1 hour driving from Guanajuato.
Escuela Mexicana wants to improve the living conditions of the kids in the orphanage. We intend to help remodel and add to their facilities as well as helping them by sending food and medical aid. Therefore, as a first step, we donate 20% of the registration fee students pay for those purposes. If students would like to make further contributions, you can always take to Torsten or Hayde about ways to do so.
As a second step, we are currently working on a volunteer work concept to get Escuela Mexicana students involved at the orphanage. The planned starting date is January 2006. If you have experience or ideas in this area, we welcome you suggestions any time or you can talk to Haydé, Torsten, Rolando and Claudia on Thursday between two and three.
